Well, we are stuck at home today with the ice storm and dangerous roads. I love the extra time with my kiddos and to get some stuff done that I've been putting off. The ice is beautiful outside and I hope to get out there before it all melts and get some pictures. Maybe during nap time! I've got potato soup on the stove and it smells delicious.  Its going to make a great dinner for this freezing day.

Whew, what a week this has been. Along with all the normal "to-dos" I have taken on a tutoring job as well. Three nights a week I am now tutoring a 4th grader in math and reading. As I am in school to be an elementary teacher this is a dream job for me. If I could trade in my customer relations job for teaching kids all day, I would in an instant. I enjoy watching her learn and the look she gives when she finally understands something is priceless. Although it is tiring to have a full time job, full school schedule, the tutoring, and all of my household and motherly responsibilities, I do enjoy it all. My children are keeping me busy as well. With chasing around my 19 month old and keeping up with my 8 year old's ever changing interests, I am never bored. My son will turn 9 at the end of the month and I am still in disbelief. It seems like just yesterday him and I were living alone and our favorite thing to do was eat popcorn and watch endless hours of Scooby Doo. Oh how my life has changed in these last 9 years. He has changed abundantly over the last few years, growing to almost my height and becoming more and more grown up. As for my little girl, she is definitely coming into her own and developing a personality. She is learning more words everyday, the newest of which include "love you", "Oh man", and "don't want to". I am very lucky because my children get long great. I was worried when my daughter was born about the age difference but they have a bond that is amazingly close. It is my greatest joy to watch them interact everyday.

All Me

Hi. I'm Mandi. I am a mommy of two, a wife, a full time elementary education student, a Customer Relations Manager for a car dealership, an amateur photographer, and much more. I am addicted to coffee and drink it from sun up to bed time. I love spending time with my family more than anything and don't ever have enough time it seems. I am always pushing my self to be the best I can be. I have so many ideas and projects I want to do, just have to find the time.
